About SURJ:
As a chapter of the national SURJ organization, SURJ ROC's purpose is to support the missions of People of Color-led racial justice groups in the Rochester area in their fight against oppression and inequality. We educate white people about privilege and white supremacy and organize white people to act for racial justice with passion and accountability.

VALUES

-Calling people in, not calling people out
-Take risks, make mistakes, learn, and keep going
-Tap into mutual interest
-Accountability through collective action
-Enough for everyone
-Growing is good

What is Monday Mayhem?
On the first Monday of every month, the Flying Squirrel hosts special programming that forgoes the technical and logistical concerns of running an open-use community space in order to take a closer look at the impact of our actions on the community and our potential as a catalyst for change.

Slingshot organizers (spiral and pocket sized) will also be on sale as a fundraiser for the Flying Squirrel.
